Three Ways to Make Affiliates Stay Away from Your Product
You come up with a new product, build it, and set up the infrastructure to sell it. Part of that plan involves recruiting affiliates who can help drive traffic to your sales page. If you find a way to get an army of affiliates, you can expect serious sales. If you fall short, its going to be a far less profitable project than youd like.
In many cases, marketers do fail to attract those affiliates. Thats often the result of blunders like these.
Low commission. Internet marketing is a world that has different commission expectations than its brick and mortar counterpart. Commissions for information products often exceed fifty percent. If youre offering a low commission rate, youll lose your shot at many affiliates.
Lack of support. Affiliates want as much help as they can get. They love product creators who supply them with graphics, sample ads, free content and other goodies to make their jobs easier. If you just have a product and a plea for affiliates, its going to be an uphill struggle.
Low price. Unless a market is very easy to tap, affiliates generally dont like to spend a great deal of time working with products on the low-end of the price spectrum. The idea of collecting a sixty percent commission on an item that costs nine dollars just isnt that exciting. Try to keep the affiliate payout in the fifteen to twenty dollar range, minimum.
Low prices, low commission and a lack of affiliate outreach can hamstring your efforts to maximize product sales.
