I Hate Blogs!

Yes, I Do!
I mean the technical part of the blog “system” as per see.

It’s awkward, clumsy, cumbersome, complicated, hard to modify, not to mention those zillions of extra “plug-ins” one need to Find and Learn and Apply First, if one wants something useful to be done.

As a hardcore Internet “dinosaur” who started on the web in 1996 writing my own HTML (still my Preferred way of creating websites!) I can easily design 5-10 useful active nice-looking sleek clean “true” websites by the time I’ll find the “proper Theme” – which looks at least minimally acceptable for my taste – and then go through all those loooong complicated php pages to figure out “what is what” and how it affects what, not to mention figuring out your own images/graphic to “fit”….

And just try to See how Exactly everything will look Before it becomes visible. Of course you Have to be connected to the Net And Login to your blog Admin centre in order to do even the slightest change, etc etc…

Simply: Horrible! Waste of time and prime example of inefficiency and ineffectiveness!

Whoever said that Having a blog instead of a website is easier, was an Idiot!

Not to mention I Like to have My “virtual property” on My Personal computer so I can actually SEE and Work and Tweak it to my like/needs Before I post in live online.

Also not even mention having a Backup in case anything bad happens. You know, those nasties ones like your site simple “disappears” from those deep mystic undergrounds of the server your site is (Was) on… or some pimple-faced sexually starved Nerd decides to “Show the World” that he is the Hacker King of this Universe so he exchanges His retarded comments for your deep philosophical jewels…or the building where your site peacefully sits in it’s warm cozy server’s tummy catches the fire… and then they are the hurricanes, floods, thieves, etc… = you Get the picture, right?

So from this point of view I Highly prefer to have the fate of my business in my hands.

Now, having said that you may wonder Why part of this site has been switched to a “blog” paltform?

Well, unfortunately I found out (and had it confirmed!) by my own RL experience many times that blogs perform better as for the natural search engine ranking.

Even the most useless idiotic blogs I have on couple of my sites - even if they are somewhere in the back - will increase my SE ranks and traffic.

Which boggles my mind even more because when I look at the source code of the blogs it is hundred times more complicated and - supposedly - Search engines “unfriendly” – than a nice clean simple ‘normal’ keyword focused website code.

Which brings me to “my personal” suspicion that all those Important, Highly Sophisticated and Complicated discussions about so called “Search Engine Optimization” are just One Big BS!
Which some people (mostly men) invented because they were not able to find a respectable manlike job for themselves! (like a MAN would do!)

According to most of those “SE Optimization rules” most blogs shouldn’t be even ranked! Yet they are! And usually better than their “regular” counterparts…!

Which, again, brings me to another suspicion: “Who” PROFITS from all this?

Because That, my little puppy, is what “moves” this world around!

M-O-N-E-Y!!

Ok, ok, I know, I know, my apology: Sex too! Ehm - I wanted to say “Love”
(since now I live in this “puritanly-correct” North America’s environment! ;-))

Update May 17, 2007: Interesting, as soon as this above post went public my PR rank suddenly felt one notch. Hmmm…. maybe there is some Big Brother Octopussy out there after all who Does know about everything on the Net and simply did Not like my criticism.
Very Scary thought! Especially for me who was born and lived most of my life in a Totalitarian state
