(well, of course if we omit crimes our governments are committing on their citizens… ;-))

I didn’t know that, until I read an article in a magazine while I was waiting for my dental appointment about a lady whose House was Sold without her even knowing!!

I couldn’t believe it! But yes, it Is Possible. She almost lost her home, it took Forever to basically ‘get back’ what Was hers in the first place No matter “She” had nothing to do with it!
Of course, bureaucracy is “never” at fault, right?

The article then went on how the Identity theft is The Fastest Growing crime in USA, - but I wouldn’t hold my breath Canada is far behind…

Just a couple of months ago my husband got a new statement from his new credit card he just gotten shortly before and what did he find? Well Over a thousand dollars charged on it! although he hardly had an opportunity to use it in ONE grocery store only. He called the Credit card company immediately and when after an enormously loooooooong effort he finally Was able to talk to a Human Being he found out that he - supposedly - bought an expensive Air-ticket!
Well, of course since he Knew he was going to his work obediently every day for the past 2 years supporting the flourishing capitalism in this country so our “caring” politicians can jetting around the world supported also by his taxes, he Protested the charge and Canceled that card immediately.

Of course it took much more paperwork and statements and although we Did ask for a results of the investigation till this day we haven’t heard a word from the CC company.

That article basically confirmed my worst feelings that Nobody is immune about all these personal frauds, scams and even the whole identity thefts.
